Autumn cannot get here fast enough for me, it’s always my favourite time for dressing, coats, cosy knits and boots galore. Here is a few styles that I will be championing:

Unusual layering – think turtle neck under dresses and long jumpers with rolled up coat arms.
I have a beautiful pair of mules I got from ‘Janet & Janet’, a Italian leather brand a few years ago and I love them, the perfect shoe to add a bit of style to any outfit. They are also a brilliant transition shoe as we go from boot to sandal weather.
Orange is the new Black. I never thought I would say this seen as I grew up around a lot and I mean a lot of orange but I am kind of loving this colour right now. Warm yet perfectly acceptable in winter and not as girly as coral …. good enough for me.

It’s made headlines this week with Emma Watson deciding to wear a ‘trouser dress’ to the Golden Globes but we saw it on the runways earlier in 2013.
To be honest why were we not doing this sooner especially with leather trousers? As someone who cannot wait to be out of tights because I find I can only wear boots and certain shoes this is the perfect thing to carry me into SS14, my legs remain warm (and I don’t have to fake tan just yet) whilst my feet remain free to wear whatever foot wear they desire. The J Brand look is my hands down winner here. What do you guys think?
