Knitwear is huge this AW14. Take this Christopher Kane dress. I predicted it 6 months ago, knitwear has been reformed from jumpers and cardigans and has been taken to a sexy new level, knitwear can now be dresses up and with its comfort and warmth I’m kinda loving this.
Lucas Nascimento was my hands down favourite from LFW AW14. The colours, the printed knits, knits as evening wear, animal print, simplistic shapes … I could go on.
I will be dreaming of owning this collection … cannot wait to see it in stores. I imagine touching it will be just as pleasing to the feel as seeing it was to the eye.
I can easily see Josephs collections being adapted to the high street for AW14 very easily. The simplistic elegance of the looks and again heavily focused on letting the fabrics doing the talking. I am seeing being able to get something close to this entire collection in COS come Autumn.
The colour palette of this collection is my dream wardrobe colours, neutrals, blues and a whole load of greys.
Topshop Unique kept it simple and focused again like most of the LFW shows on their fabrics and the beauty of combining and layering silks, wools, leathers and fur.
With its jewel tones and plush fabrics Mary Katranzous show felt almost Royal.
The mixes of velvets, silks and wools were well thought out and sat together beautifully. I also thought her shoes were a complete stand out.
