Bag a bargain

Screen Shot 2014-08-31 at 15.07.59Ok so it not the biggest bargain ever, but inspired straight from the AW14 Catwalks this Radley Greenwich tote is a bargain compared to some of them, at just £379 and it has stepped up their fashion stakes hugely in my opinion. Pick it up here.

London based designer Peter Pilotto has designed a 22 look collection for Target containing over 50 items of clothing, swimwear and accessories. The collection can also be purchased at Net-a-Porter from the 9th Feb, to celebrate the launch Net-a-Porter are having a competition to win their edit of the collection plus £5000 to spend at Net-a-Porter, to enter click here.

The collection is bang on trend with the graphic prints and cold uses of colour against black. I for one cannot wait to see which pieces Net-a-Porter edit to sell and grab a few items.

British

We all know I love a British fashion label. To my surprise I came across Lemiena this week a luxury leather and fur brand … I was initially intrigued by their handbags and thought ‘Italian’ what with the name and the luxury leather Italians are famous for. I then became intrigued by the fact this is a British label started by a Melanie who loved texture, indulgent leather, super soft cashmeres, quality tailoring and production but thought she could rival the Italians with creating her own label with these core guidelines in place and just adding her twist.

I applaude Melanie for being so courageous and producing a wonderful collection.

So London Mens Collection is in full swing and it is always useful for us to know what is going on in menswear as I find it can be just as inspiring as women wear …. sometimes dare I say it more so?

This was most defiantly the case with Burberry Prorsum. I loved it!!! The feminine androgyny of the collection and show actually made me think this could of easily been converted into a womens wear collection. The bags I adored about as much as any bag I have coverted recently. The draped silk scarves I can quickly see becoming a huge SS14 trend. Some of the textiles reminded me of the recent Chanel Show (see link here).

Another thing I noticed from the majority of the mens collection is black, looks like just as with womens wear black is not going anywhere fast.

Ok so the biggest cliche ever but fashion is my passion, but it is a intricate web and right at the heart of my passion is accessories. That jewellery, bags, hats, shoes … could not live with out these. Accessories have the power to transform a outfit and can take it to a new level. Currently I am looking for a huge selection of silk thread coloured bangles, heading to a few of Londons famous markets this weekend to begin my search … will keep you posted on if I find any.
